GV-5890FA Rev.1.2 is equipped with the rolling shutter CMOS sensor IMX226. The 12.00 MPix sensor (4000 x 3000 px, pixel size 1.85 µm) from the Sony STARVIS series excels with extraordinary light sensitivity and low noise levels. At full resolution, it accelerates to a frame rate of 10.0 fps. Thanks to the STARVIS series BSI ("back-side-illumination") technology, the sensor is ideally suited for tasks that require a perfect result even in low light conditions.

It also shows its strengths in application fields such as traffic monitoring, microscopy and quality control. The 1/1.7" sensor size also allows to choose from a wide range of cost-effective lenses for the uEye SE cameras.

This GigE Vision camera is supported by IDS Vision Firmware 2.10 or higher.

Traffic and transport (ITS)

Keeping an eye on everything - IDS cameras recognize vehicles, check the traffic flow or help with rail and road inspections.

Machine vision

Industrial image processing is used in a wide variety of applications - from quality assurance to automation.

Medical technology (and laboratory automation)

Image processing is indispensable in medical technology. For instance, IDS cameras provide data for diagnostic purposes in ophthalmology or dentistry.

Metrology

IDS cameras detect objects and provide accurate information, such as their dimensions or positioning.

Astronomy

Reach for the stars with IDS cameras - image processing shows information that is difficult or impossible for humans to grasp.

Factory / process automation

Cameras are used in monitoring, control, regulation and optimization systems and help e.g. with localization and selection tasks.
